Dr. Juan Camilo Calderón is a board-certified dermatologist, educator, and internationally recognized speaker whose career is dedicated to advancing the science of skin quality. With expertise spanning clinical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, hyperpigmentation, regenerative aesthetics, injectable treatments, and chemical peels, he combines evidence based medicine with real world clinical experience to help elevate standards of care across aesthetic medicine.

As Medical Affairs Director at SURPLEXION, Dr. Calderón leads the company's scientific strategy, clinical education, protocol development, and physician training initiatives. He also serves as Galderma Faculty, Professor of Dermatology at Universidad Libre, reviewer for the International Journal of Dermatology, and an active member of the Colombian Association of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. For more than 25 years, I have dedicated my career to understanding skin, particularly hyperpigmentation, while searching the world for better solutions and never settling for products that simply promise results. My mission has always been to help people regain confidence through carefully curated innovations that are backed by science, developed with integrity, and designed to truly make a difference.

That journey has taken me across Europe, Asia, the United States, and Latin America, where I have had the privilege of learning from leading physicians, researchers, and innovators in aesthetic medicine.
